If you want to move abroad with your child or move to the Netherlands from abroad, you need permission from the other parent. This is definitely the case if both of you have custody of your child. But even if the other parent does not have custody of your child, it may be that you are not allowed to move to another country without consultation and/or permission.
Do you not get permission from the other parent? Then you can ask the court for substitute permission. However, you must do this before you actually move.
Does your partner want to move to another country with your children and you do not agree? Then you can ask the court to prohibit the relocation.
